Kate （詩涵）是個自稱「假洋鬼子」的現代女性，而大日子將近的她卻決定在三峽老家舉行訂婚儀式。我有榮幸於2011年的10月底幫助她和老公張立廷將這個特別的場合拍攝下來。我去年已經寫過自己的感想配上部分的圖片，而新娘Kate從我提供的圖片中挑選出部份的照片並敘述那天的經過。 後來的迎娶儀式也是在老家辦理的，但因為我南下拍攝另外一場婚禮無緣記錄。 A self-described “Westerner wannabe,” Kate is a modern Taiwanese woman, who as her wedding day approached decided to hold a traditional engagement ceremony at her family’s traditional old homestead. The first triathlon of the season in Taiwan was held on March 4 in the southern port city of Kaohsiung. 自從去年八月底經由朋友的介紹認識來台北唸書的彥筑一直希望能有機會幫她拍照。等到春假結束前的最後一天我們安排了一整天的拍攝活動。除了在我的攝影棚裡面進行拍照以外，我們還趁外頭難得不下雨的機會在外面拍幾組。一直喜歡拍照也想過要嘗試當模特兒的她並沒有這樣的正式拍照經驗，而雖然一開始有些緊張她還是表現得很自然。未來我希望她能實現這個夢想，更希望我能有機會再幫她拍更多漂亮的照片。 I’ve wanted to photograph Yanzhu ever since meeting her last August through a mutual friend when she came to Taipei for school. 2011年已經接近尾聲了，對我來說時間一直有似乎在逐漸加速流逝的感覺，也難怪這一年感覺上是我一輩子過得最快的一年。如前幾年我在2011年中拍了不少照片，產量（張數）雖然減少了一些但是隨著我觀照的範圍的擴大所函蓋的題材以及拍攝的角度和方法增加了，舉凡包括鐵人三項賽事，站著餵蚊子拍攝夕陽，婚紗及婚宴，以及塑膠製的「玩具」相機。 在我們走入令人期待又怕受到傷害的2012年之刻，我挑選了一些本年度因各種原因屬於比較特別或成功的個人作品，其中包括從未發表過的幾張。 I took a lot of photos in 2011. 繼Josh和Esther 施亞岑在宜蘭的突襲求婚和在墾丁的第一批婚紗之後，新人和攝影師還是意猶味儘，趁大家再次回到墾丁參加Ironman 70.3墾丁半程超鐵時展開了三天的婚紗拍攝，從墾丁超神奇的場地開始，到彰化和台中的結婚城堡，荒廢的學校，傳統戲曲推廣中心，以及室內搭建的臨時攝影棚。 新人預定2012年1月7日於墾丁完成終生大事。到時候我還會繼續記錄他們的愛情故事。 Following their surprise engagement and initial bridal sessions in Kenting, Josh and Esther remained game to do a few more bridal sessions.
